Campaigns in this briefing

Ram 1500: rear seat-belt buckle anchors

The second-row buckle anchors may have been installed incorrectly. Dealers will inspect and attach the anchors to the body as necessary. The recall concerns the anchorage, rather than a universal replacement of the seat belts.

• Owner notification: The current record still lists August 18, 2026 as the expected mailing date; completion is not confirmed by that wording.
• Defect: Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2019-2026 Ram 1500 vehicles. The second-row center and left-side seat belt buckle anchors may have been improperly installed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 210, “Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages.”
• Safety consequence: An improperly installed seat belt buckle anchor may fail to properly restrain occupants, increasing the risk of injury during a crash.
• Remedy: Dealers will inspect and attach the seat belt buckle anchor to the body structure as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 18, 2026. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler’s number for this recall is 67D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov on August 6, 2026.

Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram: rearview-camera display

A radio-software problem can prevent the rearview image from displaying. The updated campaign lists 844,027 potentially affected vehicles and calls for a dealer or over-the-air software update. OTA eligibility should be confirmed for the individual vehicle.

• Defect: Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2026 Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Gladiator, Jeep Compass, Jeep Cherokee, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Grand Cherokee L, Jeep Grand Wagoneer, Jeep Grand Wagoneer L, Ram Promaster, Ram Promaster EV, Ram 1500, Ram 2500, Chrysler Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid, Chrysler Voyager, and 2026-2027 Chrysler Pacifica and Dodge Charger vehicles. The rearview camera image may fail to display when the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, “Rear Visibility.”
• Safety consequence: A rearview camera image that fails to display reduces the driver’s view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
• Remedy: Radio software will be updated by a dealer or through an over-the-air (OTA) update, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning September 2, 2026. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler’s number for this recall is 78D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov on August 20, 2026.

Population update: The amended report lists 844,027 potentially affected vehicles; the earlier 848,511 figure has been replaced in this briefing.

Ford Bronco: underhood wiring fire risk

The engine-compartment wiring can become damaged and short-circuit. Ford’s remedy adds protective sheathing. The campaign uses different notification phases for Bronco and Bronco Raptor groups, so owners should confirm the stage for their VIN.

• Defect: Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021-2026 Bronco and Bronco Raptor vehicles. The engine compartment wiring harness may become damaged and short circuit.
• Safety consequence: A short circuit in the engine compartment can create heat or spark, increasing the risk of a fire.
• Remedy: Dealers will install sheathing over the wiring, free of charge. This is a Phased campaign. Phase 1 will include 2026 Bronco Raptor notified owners on 7/31/2026. Phase 2 will include 2021-2025 Bronco Raptor vehicle will notify owners on or about 8/14/2026. Phase 3 will include 2021-2026 Bronco will notify owners on or about 9/1/2026. Owner notification letters were mailed August 5, 2026. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford’s number for this recall is 26S55. Toyota Camry Hybrid: instrument display and lighting functions

The affected Camry Hybrids have a specific 7-inch instrument display. A startup fault can blank the cluster and disable turn signals, hazard lamps and certain warnings. The remedy updates the display software.

• Defect: Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Camry Hybrid vehicles. The instrument cluster display may fail during vehicle startup, deactivating the hazard lights, turn signals, seat belt warning system, and smart key reminder. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 101, “Control and Displays,” 108, “Lamps, Reflective Devices and Associated Equipment,” 114, “Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention,” and 208, “Occupant Crash Protection.”
• Safety consequence: An instrument cluster that fails to display critical safety information increases the risk of a crash or injury.
• Remedy: Dealers will update the display software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 21, 2026. Owners may contact Toyota’s customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota’s numbers for this recall are 26TB16 and 26TA16.

Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator: second-row seat movement

An easy-entry switch can bind and allow a second-row outer seat to unlatch or move unexpectedly. Remedy availability is phased by model and model year; owners should confirm the applicable stage with a dealer.

• Owner notification: Interim letters mailed August 19, 2026; Lincoln Aviator notification letters mailed August 21. Additional notices will follow when the remedy is available, anticipated in January 2027.
• Defect: Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2020-2027 Aviator and 2020-2026 Explorer vehicles. The switch for the easy-entry second-row outer seats may bind or stick, resulting in the seats unlatching, tipping, or sliding unexpectedly.
• Safety consequence: A seat that moves unexpectedly may not properly restrain an occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
• Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the bezel around the switch as necessary, free of charge. This will be a phased campaign, with the remedy becoming available in different phases based on model and model years. Interim letters explaining the safety risk were mailed August 19, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the remedy is available, anticipated in January 2027. Lincoln Aviator owner notification letters were mailed August 21, 2026. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford’s number for this recall is 26S52. This recall expands Recall 25V393. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on July 16, 2026.
