Ford recalls 2025–2027 Explorer Hybrid and 2024–2027 Lincoln Nautilus Hybrid vehicles for missing pedestrian sounds. See the phased repair plan.
Ford is recalling 66,383 vehicles because a software error may prevent pedestrian warning sounds at certain speeds, increasing the risk of injury to pedestrians. Campaign 26V415000 covers certain 2025–2027 Ford Explorer Hybrid and 2024–2027 Lincoln Nautilus Hybrid vehicles. It expands recall 25V691, and vehicles repaired under that earlier recall require the new remedy.

Repair and owner notification
NHTSA’s campaign record checked September 16, 2026 describes a free over-the-air update or dealer APIM software update. Dealers will also replace the digital signal processing module in Nautilus Hybrid vehicles with 28 speakers. The remedy is being made available in phases based on model and model year.
