FORD F-150 recall: Erratic speedometer and tachometer readings
Affected Ford trucks may have analog gauges that stick or move erratically and provide inaccurate readings; the instrument cluster module will be replaced without charge.

Owners of affected Ford trucks should pay attention to a problem that can leave key analog gauge readings inaccurate. An inaccurate speed display can increase crash risk.
What the official recall record says
FORD: F-150, F-250 SD, F-350 SD and other models
The analog instrument cluster can leave the tachometer or speedometer stuck or moving erratically, which can give the driver inaccurate readings. Because the speedometer may not show the vehicle’s actual speed, the stated consequence is an increased crash risk. The listed correction is replacement of the instrument cluster module at no charge.
