Official sources reviewed This article has moved through RecallWire’s source-review step. See the references below and use the official VIN lookup for vehicle-specific confirmation.

Ford has reported a recall involving windshield wiper and washer operation. The official record describes conditions in which those systems may not function as intended, with a resulting visibility concern. The manufacturer’s stated repair process and notification details are included with the recall record. Only an official VIN lookup can confirm whether a particular vehicle has an open recall.

What the official recall record says

FORD: MUSTANG, MUSTANG GTD

The recall concerns the wiper motor and its effect on windshield wiper and washer operation under the conditions described in the official record. Ford’s remedy calls for dealer inspection and replacement of the wiper motor when necessary, without charge. The official record does not specify repair timing or whether a particular vehicle requires replacement; an official VIN lookup can confirm open-recall status.
